Meet Charlie

​

Charlie is a fragile 12-year-old girl who has known very little kindness in her life. She came into our care after being cruelly abandoned left confined in a carrier for days by the very person meant to protect her.

When we found her, Charlie was terrified, shaking, and completely broken by the trauma she had endured. She is neutered but had otherwise been neglected and forgotten. Since arriving with us, it has become clear just how much her body and spirit have suffered.

Charlie is currently being treated for calicivirus, which has caused painful ulcers in her mouth and made eating extremely difficult. She is receiving medication, antibiotics, and careful, loving support as we help her heal both physically and emotionally.

Despite everything, beneath the fear is a gentle little soul desperate for love, reassurance, and understanding. Charlie needs a calm, quiet environment where she can feel safe and finally begin to trust again.

This is Charlie’s new beginning and we are determined that the rest of her life will be filled with the care, comfort, and kindness she has always deserved.
