New into PawPurrs ......Our Penny!
Penny was spotted by a local resident in Levenshulme. She was a regular at all the houses on her street, for food and cuddles, but her overall welfare was becoming a concern.
She had dreadfully matted fur, a weeping eye and a massive saggy belly. Fortunately, we were contacted by a very kind lady who had been feeding Penny, and she was rushed into PawPurrs the very next morning.
We took her to the vets who revealed that she is an older lady, probably around 15 years old, and looks like she has been on the streets for a long time. She’s got no teeth, had terribly dirty ears and her right eye has an old street cat injury. Bless her!
Penny is amazing! Now she's had all that nasty matted fur taken away, she's been flead and wormed, has eye drops and models a new wardrobe. She is now enjoying the finer things in life; she loves bathing herself in clean water or being tucked up safely in a warm bed at night.
If you feel you have got room in your heart for this lady in her twilight years looking to retire, she would be the ideal companion. Penny must remain an indoor cat, as she’s done her time on the streets. She is good with other cats and has been very relaxed around a big dog.
She’s probably not suitable around young cats as she is a lot slower in her movements, yet will happily bat around a feather on a stick and has discovered catnip is her new best friend.
Please get in touch to come and meet our Penny.
